The new ones have corrected power supplies.

Also, I've never seen a first party account of anything bad happening to the older models, in fact, I had one for quite some time before I sold it and I never had a problem. I did buy another one at the lower price point (It also does NOT come with the force feedback version of pgr.) That said, If you have an older one please get the updated power supply.
