Windows Media Player Question(Fullscreen)
« on: December 19, 2007, 10:32:48 pm »
I want to have WMP in my cabinet to play video files. I want to select a file from my frontends menu and have the video play Fullscreen automatically without having to hit any additional buttons or keys. I don't want to see any windows or controls-just the video-fullscreen. Is this possible? If not are there any media players out there that would do this?
Btw I'm using Maximus Arcade frontend on XP.
Thanks

Thank you very much, this is Exactly what I've been searching for. I do have a couple of questions though, I'm using Maximus frontend and after the video plays it just hangs on a black screen rather than quitting and going back to my frontends selection screen. When I run this outside of my frontend it Does quit after video completes. Is there a launch command I should use with this in my frontend?
Also do I have a option to take a snapshot of the video playing?
Thanks again, great program.

One more thing, I can't play mpg4 or shockwave flash video files with this player. I installed the klite codec pack, but WMPfull still won't play them, how do I resolve this?
ANY help would really be appreciated, I'm trying to finish this game before xmas.
Thanks

You should probably try asking that question on the Maximus forums as I have no idea. It seems strange that a FE would not return to it's menu after a program has exited. I would expect there must be an option to do that though.

Well WMPFull is really just Windows Media Player in disguise so if those files can play in regular WMP then I expect they should play in WMPFull. From my experience KLite does not include codecs to play mpg4 or flash video files. You may have to do a bit more searching for those codecs.
