List of games with buttons / control / players...!!!

Howdy all.

I remember seeing a long time ago on here a TXT file with all the games available on MAME with a breakdown of number of players, control type, number of buttons etc...

Can anyone help me in location this?

I don't know about a text list but here is a searchable database:

I thought you could run mame with a certain flag to have it output the list...  But I could be completely wrong.

It'll let you generate lists of games based on your input criteria. (# of buttons, cocktail, horizontal, vertical, fighter, etc)  If you're in the planning stages of figuring out how many buttons to add to your machine, you can keep tweaking the input until you get the games you want to play.  If you've already built your machine and want to know how many games you can play on it, just plug in the controls you have and hit go and out comes a list.
