Help Needed with Adding Art to Visio
« on: December 16, 2007, 11:50:37 am »
Hi all,

I have recently designed my CP in Visio and I'm not really sure how to add some art to the panel.
Basically, I want to be able to send out a piece of art with the holes already gone out of it to get printed and when it comes back I can just add it over the drilled out CP MDF.
Is there a better way to do this, Im just afraid that if I get the art back and its a solid sheet, I might ruin it by drilling it or cutting it, plus there wont be any hole or joystick templates printed on it.

Here is the link to the panel.

I can't open your file, but this is what I did.
I created my artwork with a crosshair centered in each hole for buttons, joysticks, etc.
Then I placed the artwork on my CP board and center punched each cross hair.
I then drilled out the CP where the punch marks were.
The lexan CP cover was then placed over the CP board and routed out.
The artwork was then sandwiched between the lexan and CP board.
I cut out the artwork with a razor blade.

Good luck!

Hi.

Buy an older version of CorelDraw, you get them for a few $$ at Ebay. I did several CPOs with Corel and it's perfect :)
