Betson Multisync with ArcadeVGA Setup
« on: November 30, 2007, 01:47:58 pm »
I believe I have set up my Betson Multisync and ArcadeVGA correctly, I have followed the directions from Ultimarc and Retroblast.
But I'm not sure it is correct yet.
During some games but not all, I can see sort of a wave across the screen as the background scrolls. I assume it has to do with the refresh and video sync. Where I strongly notice it is on only a few Mame games like Rolling Thunder and Batman among other horizontal scrolling games. I also notice it on most any Genesis emulated game. I also tried to hook up a Playstation2 to the Betson Monitor using the cable from Ultimarc and that did not work either, All I got was very distorted scratchy video.
Am I not set up correctly or is the scrolling line just something I have to live with.
I have run the Genesis emulator on my laptop and it worked fine.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In mame, for the games you see it with, enable the triple-buffering option.
That solves the problem for me.

Thank you for your reply. I think I may already have triple buffering enabled, but I will check om that tonight.
