Arcade Monitor Adjustments
« on: November 29, 2007, 06:04:02 pm »
What is the best way to adjust the Color and Brightness??

I tried by playing Street Fighter and going into the Color Test........Take a look at the attached File. This is a screen shot from my PC monitor.........But how exactly is this supposed to look.

I guess I am never really satisfied until I know my Monitor is setup to display the best it can. I always seem to be playing around with the Brightness and color.

Is there a guideline as to how I should go about this??? Some software to run that would help me set this up??

You should have all colors about equal, without the colors bleeding.

a good place to start is the g2 ( screen grid) set up
turn bright and contrast to min
adjust screen grid  ( lower shaft on ihvt )  to the point a hint of video appears on screen
then adjust contrast / brightness to desired levels

for chroma balance   " greyscale or white balance "...  as Peale stated  .
note the bottom starcase should run from white to blk,  and it should not be tinted  r, g or b
