cocktail cabinet frontends?
« on: November 21, 2007, 03:20:58 pm »
Hello everyone.
I was wondering if their are any frontends that will rotate the games for cocktail cabinets? I am currently looking at MALA but wanted to checkout some other options. I have already looked at Maximus Arcade, Atomix, and a couple of others but only MALA seems to support rotation for a 4 player cocktail cabinet.

Also, is their another place to get layouts for MALA other then their site? I only like one or two of their layouts but neither one will match the colors I am thinking about using for the T-Molding.

Thanks
Justin

In addition to Mala, check out AtomicFE, Mamewah and GameEx.

I'm partial to AtomicFE, which of course can do automatic cocktail rotation, but they are all good - it depends on what you are looking for..

Don't be afraid to load them all up - you can run them all to test and see what works best for your setup.

Thanks for the link! I'll definitly give them a try. I had a few problems with AtomicFE starting up but I'll give it another go. Thanks!

hi,

The main problem users have to start up Atomic is most of time due to the fact that the codec for the Intro Video is not installed.    In AtomicFe folder , there is a file codec_tscc.exe , that you have to install the first time . it will install the codec and then Atomic should run smoothly.

If you have problem or any question concerning Atomic, feel free to post on the official English support forum in the Atomic section here :   http://spaceinvaders.7.forumer.com/

... There are a few layouts posted in this forum that have not been added to the MaLa website yet, also you can convert MameWah layouts if you want.
