OK, I just saw the badge of shame "in action". It actually looks kinda cute. Maybe too cute and people will be proud to collect them  :P

I like it attached to the offending message. I guess I wrongly assumed that by "attaching it to the user" you meant replacing their avatar or something so the user would be brandished for the whole forum.

This is much clearer to the offender than the bombs where often 5 people were misbehaving and it wasn't clear who actually deserved the bombs and as a result no one seemed to feel the bombs were meant for them.

That will get caught by search engine spiders and start associating this whole forum with them.  Not cool.  Imagine the Google banner ads that would pop up.  Hell I say remove that link entirely now before these guys start showing up.

Didn't think of that. Link removed. Maybe it could be redone with an innocent link, but with a clever intro that makes it look bad.

It was in PnR in the "fair question" thread. The whole post disappeared now though.

If you took their logo, renamed the file, and hosted it locally, that would work... but of course you'd still have their logo on your site.  It's bad enough having a Giants logo spinning around here.   :)
