Help: Sharp Image SI 434DS - PH 33" Chassis Cap Kit
« on: November 06, 2007, 08:20:50 pm »
Hello everyone,

I've got a 33" Sharp Image SI 434DS - PH 15/24khz chassis that I pulled from a 33" dynamo showcase cabinet. The monitor is having some pretty significant geometry issues, so I figured I'd troubleshoot them starting with a solder reflow and cap kit. Unfortunately, I can't find a cap kit, map or manual anywhere for this particular chassis. They can't possibly be a rare monitor as I see these dynamo cabinets for sale all the time.

Does anyone know where I should start looking for a cap set? I contacted Zanen (waiting for a reply), looked at happ control's list as well as ebay with no luck. I read in one of Ken Layton's previous posts that some Kortek chassis were just re-labeled Sharp Image chassis. Does this apply to my model? Maybe I should be searching for a 33" Kortek cap kit?

Please help!
Thanks,
Bill
