Sharp Image SI320Z?
« on: November 05, 2007, 05:25:28 pm »
Does anyone have any info on the Sharp Image SI-320Z (the z has a line through it) chassis?  I got it in a Mr. Do cabinet I picked up for $50.  The guy said it didn't work.  The thing looks BRAND NEW. Are Sharp Image or just SHARP chassis also replacements for Nintendo cabs?  I don't want to just fire it up if it possibly could be a 100v chassis?

Here are some photos.

It closely matches the UNIDENTIFIED Sharp Image photo on Bob Roberts site,  but it is gray instead of brown.  I already emailed Bob Roberts.

Fired the monitor up... all i get is an out of sync blue screen.  The harness in this Mr. Do is jacked up though so I am going to re-wire.  I also will likely drop a known working G07 in to determine if it's wiring or chassis related.

Bob Roberts replied that the chassis looks like a WG K7000 knock-off of some sort.

Does the Mr. Do board play blind though?

That multi-legged IC on the heatsink with the big cap behind it in the top right hand corner of your fist pic does kinda remind me of a K7000 chassis. Odd.
Not a technician . . . . just a DIY'er.

Yes...it plays blind...sorta.  You can hear it as normal,  but then the "YOU ARE ALMOST DEAD" music comes on real fast (the faster music)...after like 3 seconds of play...

...and the controls don't seem to work....I can't hear me throw a ball...or movement sounds....
