Local arcade christmas sale
« on: November 05, 2007, 08:56:52 am »
Every year since I was a kid, the local mall arcade has always put price tags on their games for the Christmas season. I have no idea if anyone has ever bought from them, but a few prices stood out when I was there the other day. I'll post the pics here. I'm not sure how concrete they are on prices, but I'd figure they'd budge a little bit if you flashed the green. ;D The prices and pics are below.

NFL Blitz '99 showcase: $595

This is in excellent condition. Monitor is crisp. Surprising price considering all of their other showcases have prices at $1000. I guess noone plays blitz anymore, and they want to clear out a huge showcase cabinet to make room for a money maker. (they have about 8 showcase cabinets).

SF RUSH: Rush the rock, dual sitdown: $1495

Both are in great shape, and as far as I can tell, the price is for both units.

Cruisin USA Environmental cabinet: $795

I would LOVE to get this cabinet. It is in great cosmetic shape, and the monitor is either new, or rebuilt. Either way, it looks great. I casually mentioned this one to my wife and she actually said I could get it for Christmas if I finished and sold two of my other games! We'll see, but I doubt it will happen.

As for the rest, they had a beat up candy cab with messed up colors on the monitor for $1100. Some crappy racing game in a standard sitdown cab for $595. Their 3 skeeball machines were $995 each. Everything else was in the thousands for the huge junk games.

If anyone is actually interested in any of these, or want more pictures I'd be happy to help you out.

Seems like the local mall arcades do the same thing here.
I'll have to make a point to stop in there and see if they still do.
I don't go to any of them much because they generally just have redemption type stuff and very little actual "arcade" machines.
Not a technician . . . . just a DIY'er.
