Marque Trim
« on: November 02, 2007, 11:52:23 am »
Hi Guys,

I've been looking at a bunch of different cabinets and I see some sort of trim used above and below the marque.  Here's a sample pick from the "Mini Mame"

You can see at the top there is a piece of trim screwed in with 5 screws.  Does anybody know what this piece of trim is, how to make it, or buy it?  I think that it gives a really nice finished look to the marque.

Thanks!
Jeff

There are a million things you can use... Happs sells a "marquee retainer" specifically designed for this - it's pretty good stuff - very thick plastic.  A lot of people just buy an aluminum L-bracket from Home Depot and spray paint it black which is what I'll probably do on my next cabinet.  I also like using black screw caps to hide the silver screws (looks "cleaner").
