I got the cd-i gun, it works just like an LCD topgun with infared sensor, however the target is all jumpy and total crap. I wondered if anyone else ever used one or had success with it

Yep
And you are right its kak.
Just stand further away from the screen with the gun. No a little further. Keep going....
