Ok....I finally worked up the courage to post this because I feel real stupid for asking...
Do you ever run into a an anode that just doesn't seem to clip on right? No joke, it took me about 30 times to get it right with my K7000 each time discharging in between. What surprised me was it seemed to be the cause and solution to the blue, electrical sparks that I was receiving. Is this a typical fix?
I realized something was up when the first few times I went to discharge, the anode practically slid off on it's own. I tried numerous times (as stated before) connecting the anode with AND without that little metal clip that was originally clasped between the two hooks. Another question, is that clip a requirement?
I'm happy to say that my monitor troubles appear to be over...at least for a day or two with this monitor. I had absolutely no trouble with my K4900 but this one kicked my arse! I'd also like to mention the surface near the anode hole looks to be pretty worn away, not sure if this contributed...I also considered bending the two hooks inward with some needle nose plyers

Any comments? Thanks for letting me vent, - Joe
