so, all of a sudden im getting this bloody error msg "Exception processing message c0000013 parameters 75b6bf9c" when updating my game list in MAME 32!

My pc is a little over 12 mths old, its a HP with XP media center.

Basically, this is a run down of what happened, Im not sure if they are connected but everything was working Fine until I did this.

I acquired a handful of new mame games for MAME, I put them in my roms folder. Opened up MAME, everything running fine. I hit 'F5' to update the game list in MAME 32 and get this error message. I hit 'continue' about 200-300 times, and the list eventually updated. I removed the latest games I added to my mame folder, thinking one of those may have been the culprit.

I closed mame then reopened it with these newer games out of that folder. Hit 'F5' and it did it again. WTH. I have been reading some msg boards about this message but dont seem to be getting far. I really am at a loss, I dont seem to get this error msg with any other programs. I loaded up itunes, some video players, paint shop pro....those are running fine

All working fine. Only pops this error msg when I update the rom list/game list in mame32. I ran a spybot scan, scanned my mame and rom folders for virus' with my kaspersky AV, didnt find a thing.

Any help would be appreciate, I also did a virus scan of the newer games I acquired today, those were clean too.

Pleas help me

one other thing I just remembered, at the time it happened (when i got this error msg) I had 2 different versions of mame open at the same time, maybe that did it?

I had MAME 32 0.79 open and MAME 32 0.199u3 at the same time  :banghead:

then I hit 'F5' update game list on the 0.79 version and thats exactly when this ugly error message reared its ugly head.

Apart from this the pc seems to be running normally, Im going to uninstall all of the mame versions I have on my pc to see if this is connected

well I seem to have cured the problem by getting rid of MAME 0.79 & 0.199u3  :'(, and updating to 0.120. So now my MAME is working pretty good again . BUT, With the 0.79 version I use to have about 729 games available, now with the 0.120 version I only have 550 or so. Classics like Bubble Bobble are not showing up? anyone got any solutions for that?

cheers
