Electrohome monitor flashing on and off
« on: October 17, 2007, 09:34:57 pm »
Hi there, I have a G07 monitor that needs some help. When I turn on game the monitor keeps flashing on and off. First you see the picture for a second then the screen goes black and then the picture flashes up for a second then the screen goes black again, It just keeps doing this. Is the x-ray circuit doing this?

A lot of the time intermittent picture is caused by poor solder joints. You should check the solder to make sure that there are no cracks, and that they are all soldered properly.

And don't forget to get out your high voltage probe and measure the high voltage. Does it climb real high like to 25,000 to 30,000 volts? If so the voltage regulator transistor is bad.
