I simply don't understand what is up with the PS2 and wireless controllers. It seems like no single company can get their ---Cleveland steamer--- right.
Yonkers ago, I bought the Air Style which got rave reviews on release. There is a noticeable lag, but easily adjusted to. Similar to lag I get when I purchased an extension cord for my old NES or Genesis. I was on the final boss for God of War and no matter how many times, I kept getting ---my bottom--- chopped up. Finally, in a fit of frustration, I switched to the old wired controller and had the ---smurf--- dead in less than three minutes. I couldn't tolerate the lag anymore. So I held off on playing games needing high precision until I could find a suitable replacement.
I bought a Pelican wireless controller for my brother figuring he would be a good guinea pig. He told me the thing literally fell apart in three months. Gee... I can't imagine why.
Then I heard absolute rave reviews about the Official Logitech controller. Couldn't find any in the stores for a few months until they cropped up. They looked different than the samples I played with a few months before, but I figured it was just a cosmetic remodel and picked one up on sale.
It works OK. The lag is still there, but it's little shorter than the Air Style.
Today, I'm playing through God Hand and no matter how hard I try, can't complete one of the... ahem fairy stamina fights or whatever it's called. Switch to the wired controller, and I pummel that bastard with 9 seconds to spare.
AAARRGGGHH!! What the Hell??
How does Nintendo get the Wavebird wireless timing down to a T and everyone else seems to botch it?
I've noticed some Wii games seem to have slightly more lag than others. I've heard the same about the PS3, that some games seem to exhibit more controller lag than others. Is this true for the 360 controller?
It's the 21st century, you would think everyone would get this wireless control ---Cleveland steamer--- down.
