What ancient Hantarex is this monitor ?
« on: October 10, 2007, 01:12:58 pm »
Does anybody recognize this Hantarex monitor ?

http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=70069.msg742818#msg742818

There's heaps of plug-in modules, all Hantarex branded. The tube has a sticker Hantarex A51-211X.
Must be from around 1980.

So what do you think of it ? Worth giving it a try ? It has HEAPS and HEAPS of pots for almost everything....

I remember those monitors, they suffered from very bad solder connections around the header cards  and i seriously doubt the flyback is still available
if it works then its worth getting if its really cheap,if its not working then don't touch

I actually already have it since it's in the Puckman cab I bought last week :)

I kinda like the modular build-up. The CRT has been replaced in 1981 which meant the original didn't last very long ! (As this is a Puckman I figure the cab isn't really that much older). I'll see what it does, if it does anything. If it takes too much time, it'll be replaced by a TV :D
