They seem like a toy to me. (though i never actually used one) It's a kids toy. Why bother with an imitation of a game when you can play the real thing.

It is like a Genesis version with all the glitches fixed...like Subzero having his own stance or all the voice samples put in.

BUT, it is still sucks because it is nowhere near arcade perfect.

For my money a big thumbs down and not worth it at all.

You are better off getting a laptop and playing the real thing emulated in MAME.

Color is bad, timing is bad....just like the Genesis.   Though it is better then the SNES, but who would honestly even consider that version anyway??

the reason I was asking is becuase if it were just like the arcade I was going to buy one at the family dollar for $7.99 and take the guts out and stick them in a real MDF single player arcade controller so it would be a portable plug and play Mortal kombat.

but since is less then the arcade qualty it is not worth the bother to me.

that's for the info guy's.

Just for a heads up I've heard that there was a pretty good plug and play Street fighter II game.  It was released a while ago but it wasn't Jakks, rather some other company.
