booyah!  my university of kentucky wildcats are 14th in the nation!      yeah i cant believe it either.  although we have lsu and florida coming up back to back 

yeah, i just thought i would gloat...its not often that i get to celebrate a good kentucky football team.

I'm new to kentuckiana (2 years now), so I don't really get the U of L UK rivalry, but I like to stir the pot.

booyah!  UK is 8th in the nation!!  and no its not basketball season!  craziness!  next 3 games will tell the season for us though:

South Carolina
Florida
LSU

...ouch.  my prediction, we will beat SC by 10, beat Florida by 14, and lose to LSU by 17 after a hard fought game and a good performance.  we'll lose to the better team.  mark my words!  if im right, then everyone can donate a pushbutton to my cause, whatever that is.

I've always found it ironic that Oklahoma always gets a pass when they lose a game in their weak conference.
Yet SEC teams never get the respect they deserve if they lose a conference game. With Kentucky being a power now, there are no pass games in the SEC.

I've always found it ironic that Oklahoma always gets a pass when they lose a game in their weak conference.
Yet SEC teams never get the respect they deserve if they lose a conference game. With Kentucky being a power now, there are no pass games in the SEC.

well i think calling kentucky a "power" is a stretch.  they are a good team....not sure how good though.  the next 3 games will tell all.

I tuned into the game early in the 3rd quarter and seeing Kentucky not down by much, I just knew they were gonna pull it off.

Did you all see that block late in the 4th. The one where the Kentucky blocker lifted the guy off the ground a few feet. That was ---smurfing--- awesome!

yeah that block was crazy awesome.  did you see the dudes chin after the hit???  they took him off the field obviously, but he had his helmet off and like...the whole bottom part of his jaw was completely purple!!!

Triple OT in football shouldn't even be allowed.  I've been in games like that... by the time you get there you're so exhausted half the guys are putting more effort into not getting injured than they are into execution.  Football just isn't a sport you can play indefinitely like baseball.  Too many piles and collisions.  I guess you just have to accept that if at the end of 70 minutes, the game is still tied, it's a draw and move on to the next week.

It's more exciting to watch, I'll agree there.  The XFL had the same format.

I rarely watch college football but I did watch a game a few weeks ago that went 3OT.  I really felt bad for some of those guys, especially the linemen.  Guys were getting carted off the field every 4th play.
