MTC-900 no picture, but does have raster
« on: September 25, 2007, 01:54:35 pm »
Trying to repair an MTC-900 from an Out Run.

I know I have to cap the monitor, but thought I'd get SOME picture with this.

All I have is a white screen with retrace lines.  And that's with the screen control turned all the way down.

Any jumping off point?  Besides the caps, I mean.

i remember having a problem with the pre brightness pot once but it was many millions of years ago so i can't remember if i got too much or no brightness
also i would guess a fault on the flyback could do this as well

I'd definitely recap it first. You're gonna be replacing 28 caps on this sucker.
