Resident Evil Extinction
« on: September 24, 2007, 10:51:14 pm »
SPOILER ALERT

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Just saw Resident Evil Extinction.  I thought it was billed as the end of the series but the last few minutes almost guarantee a sequiel (So do the box office results).  Not my favourite of the 3 and I have yet to figure out how "Alice" gets garters to hold up her stockings in the middle of a desolated world.

I'll give it 3 buttons out of 5.

Yeah i heard it wasnt very good story wise or character development.
Back in MY day we lived on the moon and we had to build a rocket ship from scratch to get to the Earth before we suffocated.

I agree.  It spends alot of time on new characters who are killed off or take off at the end.   I think they are just there for filler.

And it was short!  :hissy:

But it was enjoyable if not perfect.

I don't know why, but I've never really considered the RE movies to be "zombie movies". The first one sucked except for the laser corridor scene. The second one was better, but was still pretty damn cheesy by the end. This one just doesn't interest me one bit.

Now if you want to see a pretty darned good zombie flick, rent 28 weeks later.

I use that site to screen "wife unfriendly" movies. you guys with older children might find that site very useful to screen movies too.

Using Shardian's posted link, the only movie on that site that rates 10 in all three categories is the new Halloween - 10 on each of the following Sex/Nudity, Violence/Gore and Profanity.

My favorite part in 2 was the scene where the police block off a street and try to hold an intersection.  They fail but do a great job of it.

28 weeks wasnt as good as the first i think.  there were to many plot problems though i wish they would make a prequl on how the brits make the virus.
