andrea's HQ4 x at 100% speed? on c2d e6400 is it possible?

just noticed the option in mame0.119 it sure makes old games look damn good but the speed drop is real nasty i only get 13fps average when using the HQ 4x option.

but on normal settings i get 100% speed..

i know there is performance to using filters but christ almost 85% decrease in speed on a 2.6ghz p4 is just crazy.

with 10/10 fskip i get 60/100 speed yep its that slow.but the grapics sure are pretty though

anyway is it safe to bet even a core 2 duo would be killed by enabling the HQ4x enhancement?

if you have a core 2 duo 6400 try it out an let us know!!

and please let me know if virtua fighter runs fullspeed as well as the psx games in mame.

How do you enable HQ4x? Is this using a derivative version of Mame?

its the mame plus plus version..that versions seems to be the best version of mame32 to me for now..

i got it all sorted outnow there is more than meets the eye to mame plus plus thats for sure.

mortal kombat 2 looks great with the HQ4x enhancement,,,

No such thing as Andrea's HQ4x, is there?  So are you posting about Andrea's LQ4x or Maxim Stepin's HQ4x?

Virtua Fighter with Andrea's LQ4x looks better than Virtua Fighter with Maxim Stepin's HQ4x and runs faster. 
on a Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 2.6 GHz at zero frame skip:
Andrea's LQ4x = 95%
Maxim Stepin's HQ4x  37%-40%

so, no...E6400 won't help ya currently.
btw for E6600 I don't get pure 100% until 9/10 frameskip with the HQ4x (97%-100% with 8/10 HQ4x.)  It is playable at 8/10, but still a tad skippy
