I'm not convinced that the Wii will ever be a viable platform for racing games.  The Mario Karts of the world will be fine, but I'm leary of NFS games and especially more Sim-style racing games.  I hope I'm proven wrong, but I haven't been yet.

I'm excited for all of those games, but I'll be getting NFS on the 360 personally.
first off your and idiot

I recently picked up Burnout: Revenge for the 360.  Great arcade style racer.

I don't quite understand the NFS series. I have a two or three versions across different platforms (given as gifts) and I've rented a few of the others. Every time I pick up the controller, I feel like I'm getting snubbed somehow.

Don't get me wrong, I generally like different racing games, I just don't like the NFS series all that much and I have a hard time understanding why the franchise continues to survive. I can't really place my finger on why though. It seems to me that NFS has some kind of identity crisis. Or maybe I was forever tainted by the atrocious physics engine on the Playstation version. I dunno.  :dunno

I kinda like Excite Truck on the Wii. It's so fast I usually get diizzy after playing it for a while.

I doubt if I'd like a sim style racer on the Wii though.

It's really the only GC game with nice graphics, upgradeable cars and parts, and real world cars along with good game play, atleast on a real controller.

The old NFS Hot Pursuit was a really fun game.  But NFS Underground was really bad, I thought.  Those are the only two I've played.

And, yeah, Burnout is just the damned pinnacle.

I really cannot wait for the Wii Resident Evil the most. RE4 was good but i was disappointed in the lack of zombies and the replacement crazed Mexican farmers (or whatever they were) was really lame and ruined alot of the game for me. I guess people were complaining and tired of killing the same old zombies but i think that was only because of the old camera angles and if they had made zombies in RE4 it would have been a hell of a lot better than how it turned out.

RE Wii should overtake RE4 as the best RE game and probably be the game of the year.

Damn them for making the gun fodder semi-intelligent. damn them for allowing them to think and work together against you. Dumb zombies would have been so much better, you are right. Just...damn them!

Seriously though, the crazy farmer thing did bother me a little at first. I kept wondering when Umbrella Corps. was going to be revealed as being involved.

I thought those farmers were approximately 195,000 times scarier than zombies.  And the ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- they yell at you in Spanish.  I have no idea what it is, but it's scary as hell.

The ones that busted the vine out of their head always made me jump. I also thought it was cool when you put your sight on their head and they would duck and jump to the side. Of course the main awesome aspect, once their set places are revealed, all bets are off as to how they act. In the earlier RE games, there were no surprises once you had played thru the game.
