Time Crisis & Porp Cycle - Anyone got them running correctly
« on: September 11, 2007, 04:35:12 pm »
Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has got either of these games running correctly. I'm running a 3.00Ghz Cpu, but only 512Mb of DDR ram, and was wondering if this might be the issue?
Other than being very slow and "jerky" , when I play Prop Cycle, if I want to turn right because of a mountain out to the left, it will turn left into the mountain!!

Any thoughts.....or are the system 22 games just to demanding for mame!!

Thanks in advance

SGT

I just tried Mame v0.100 and prop cycle is actually playable unlike with the latest Mame.   However I get some stuttering and the FPS is pretty low (29 with no frame skip)  on my P4 3.2 Ghz with 2 gig of ram.   I need to get a video card into this computer which is probably hurting me with its onboard video.

Thanks SGT,

Might try an older version (.87) and see how that goes. I'm using an arcade VGA

What about Time Crisis?

SGT,

Would you be kind enough to run through the steps on how to make Mala run these 2 games with mame .87.....Sorry, just not bright enough to work it out, even with all the M2 work!!

Cheers

Just tried it through the command line (version 0.87) and was playable, but had no sound!

Turns out the best combination (for me) in mame 1.02 with 1.01 roms, no sound issues, and completly playable...so will just have to re compile it (I'm sure I will have some questions!!) and getting it runing in Mala.
