Windows Media Player - URGE??
« on: September 10, 2007, 02:07:00 am »
So I've had WMP installed for quite awhile and was intrigued by "URGE" at the top right had side.
I installed it and it keeps creating a "Sart Menu" folder on my drive with all of my Music (I\ve deleted it several times already). So after I installed it, I clicked on it and now it's asking for a bunch of personal information and Billing Info.  I now understand that it is MTV's Music store. If I don't intend to buy anything from them, is there any reason to keep URGE?  can I remove it? (Program add / delete?)

I'd remove it.  WMP sucks.  I use Windows Media Player classic:

Works great without all the baggage, spam, and unnecessary M$ bloat.
Also be sure to download a codec pack from http://www.codecs.com
