Arcadedepot.com questions
« on: August 24, 2007, 10:04:25 pm »
Several weeks ago I sent Arcade Depot an email asking for measurement specs for their cocktail cabinet kit. They never responded. A few weeks after that I sent another email (to a different address) mentioning that I had sent a previous email and asking my question again. In this time I have placed two orders for buttons which have arrived promptly.

I am now ready to order the cocktail cabinet kit, but I have still not heard back from them. I decided that no matter what the dimensions are I would order the kit anyway, because they are pretty much the only thing going. (for what I want). HOWEVER to get the custom control panels I want they say I should email them the template of where I want all the buttons. So my question is, who do I email the template to and how can I make sure they will actually get it?

Does anyone have any experience with Arcade Depots kits?

I just discovered this similar post from about a year ago.

http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=56613.0

Anything since then?

(is this in the correct forum?)

There are lots of guys who are good with wood, but not so good with computers. Have you tried calling them. On the telephone?

Communication can be a problem for them since i ordered my kit from them.

When you order thier kit the top you get is a ms pacman not a pacman. they look almost completely identical until it comes time to put the underlay on it. if you try and put a pacman underlay on a mspacman top the alignment will be off by the control panels.

They were willing to switch tops to a pacman one free of charge but i had to email them.
(i had read somewhere else that they were willing to do this) i sent 3 emails. then they had emailed me back about my control panels. i sent them my panels and yet another request to change tops. they said they never got any of the emails but they were willing to switch tops for me.

i dont remember having any problems concerning my control panels though of any kind. It has been 2 years but i think i emailed them the control panels with my order number along with them.

I  decided to place my order yesterday on the assumption that they would have to contact me to get my control templates.

Sure enough, I just checked my email and I have a friendly letter from Scott telling me they are starting production and when I get a chance I should send in my templates.

Last night I responded to the email Scott sent me (asking for my control templates) and I let him know about the two previous emails I had sent. He had this to say:

"First, please allow me to apologize for the apparent lack of communication on our part.   I went back through our e-mail records (we don’t delete any e-mails for several years) and was unable to find any previous e-mail from you, only two orders for buttons and joysticks.  I checked our junk e-mail folder as well, but was unable to find any correspondence at all.  I have no idea what may have happened.  We work really hard to maintain excellent communication with our customers… so again, I apologize for whatever may have happened in your specific instance."

So, all appears to be well.

Perhaps the internet ate my emails.

Please let me know what you think of the kit once you get it.  I am thinking about getting one as well.  I emailed scott with a couple of questions and he responded in about a days time, so he really must have misplaced your email.
