I had gotten a used mini-itx motherboard for a good price. I got the idea for the case after seeing the Intec GBA pro gamers case on sale.

I gutted the case it was filled with little pockets and black fabric. Seeing as the case is made with paper thin aluminum and thick paper board. The main tools used were a hand hack saw and a utility knife. I made a motherboard tray from spare standoffs and a piece of plexiglass.

I used pop rivets to hold the plexiglass in place.

Next I cutout the IO panel.

I then made a removeable laptop HDD tray with standoffs/hot glue/velcro.

The powersupply is a 120watt picoPSU that runs off a 12v powersupply. As you can see in this pic.

Power LED HDD LED and power switch.

Cooling fan and grills were bought at a local surplus shop.

Mercury safety switch installed to prevent overheating if case is tipped on it's exhaust side.

Heatsink mod the stock heatsink/fan was a little loud so I swapped it out with a Zalman passive northbridge heat sink.

The great thing about this motherboard is that it has TV out finding a monitor is not much of a hassle. It also has cardbus and CF slot for wireless cards and CF GPS receivers. Why is this project not airport friendly? What would you think if you seen a case like this with a red button on it?
