Help! Broken VGA Male plug!
« on: April 28, 2003, 04:07:36 pm »
Hey guys, i recently got a hand me down VGA monitor. I was told the vga plug had lost pins so a new male connector was put on. The monitor worked fine for a few months but then i noticed that when i turned it on there was a blue tint, which i know is a sign of a disconnected pin somewhere. I removed the shielding to find that the wires were very poorly soldered and some were removed.

Now i'm pretty handy with a soldering iron, but i'm having difficulty finding a diagram with which wires go to which pins. I figure ill cut the wire and start from scratch. I assume they are universal but i may be wrong! That's why i'm asking! So if anyone knows where i can find the proper diagram it would be very appreciated. Thanks in advance guys, because i'm itchin to get my cabinet running again!
