Dude, I wasn't downplaying the talent of the original GnR members. I was just quoting something I heard James say once that was true back in the day. As Axl may not have been all that of which he thinks he was, he did a damn good job of trying to make everyone think so. I think what James was saying is that he was a bit of a tool in the day for thinking he was all that, and hardly giving the rest of the band recognition. Truth is there was talent there, and like you say MC, Axl really ain't got nothing on them. Plain and simply put, yea he can be a --cream-filled twinkie--. Personally I'm a fan of all of them though, including Axl. That ---smurf--- had energy and was most of the reason they were as big as they became during the Illusions I&II, but it was the sound that launched their career on Appetite.
