So...I admit I cashed in for more than $250K net, NOT gross, then I get slapped with a minor $1200 fine, and two years in prison (probably not even half that with good behavior.)

I don't know...it almost seems worth it to me!  I'd have to seriously consider doing it, with the prior knowledge of the consequences.
I'll exercise patience when you stop exercising stupidity.

Yeah, but I bet they don't punish those FBI guys for buying all that stuff and keeping a copy for themsevles.

Spend 1 week in prison, then come back and see if you can say that.
I spent a night, and I'm never going back.  :P

I'm with TOK.  My brother spend a year in prison.  He was seriously not right in the head for years.  He's only just now resembling the person he was when he went in and it's been about ten years.

Not to mention you would spend the 250K plus trying to stay out of prison!  The first thing a lawyer does on taking your case is establish your net worth, for billing purposes.
