Help Identify my monitor (now with pics)
« on: August 08, 2007, 09:59:43 am »
Hi I have a Defender cabinet and I want to give the monitor a cap kit.
However looking at the pictures on the net and searching for the monitor type I think I'm more confused than when I started!!

The chassis says Electrohome G07, but the actual circuit board says WG 19K7691 and the tube is a phillips. So I am thinking its a WGK7000
However it has a seperate adjuster board with 6 pots on it that is identical to the one on the U2000 monitor ID page on Bob roberts site.

Anyone know which monitor it is for a cap kit?

Regards
Steve

Photos will help...and if it has a remote board I can tell you for sure it is NOT an Electrohome G07.

And you visited the monitor ID sites mentioned in the "Read here first before posting" sticky thread?

Yeah I had a look at the sites, unfortunately I left the pics on my usb flash drive in the house for the chassis. arrgh.

I have dial-up in the house so its painful to do it there.
I look on broadband at work and I'm basically trying to remember what it looks like from memory.

I'll be able to post pic tomorrow.

I was certain it was a K7000 until I saw that daughter board on the u2000.

Regards
Steve

Yes, a picture would help. Don't forget that monitors could have been swapped in your cabinet over the years (several times maybe).

There was a period of time when Midway was mislabeling Wells monitors as Electrohome. So it's possible somebody installed a monitor that came from a Midway cabinet at one time.

It is a K7000.  Zenith chassis, unfortunately.

If that flyback ever toasts, you can't get replacements.
