Database / list of known TVs suitable as arcade monitors?
« on: August 03, 2007, 11:24:35 am »
Does anyone have a list, or is there a database of manufacturers or models that lend themselves well to RGB / VGA connections, taking into account input memory, power features etc?

If not, how about one be created? Might save some of the guesswork...

I think it'd be worth a shot.  I'd be happy to contribute my monitor if I could figure out what in the world it was.

Austin.Wolff, I believe he is referring strictly to TV's that work well in arcade applications (rather than just arcade monitors).

Also, MrF, just to clarify, are you referring to TV's that work with Arcade boards (such as scart capable TV's), or just TV's that work well with Mame/Computers.

Hi, well I suppose both tho I was in particular interested in MAME-type applications.

You could have the make and model and people could list their experiences of that particular set, possibly with some kind of checklist, maybe in the form of a wiki?
