hey snake tanks for the help. There's one problem though (i think). I want the adaptor to OUTPUT 15khz not VGA. Maybe I'm confused, i'm rather new to the whole video thing. Other than that, the xrgb2 does everything else complete with audio amplification and multiple inputs.
Maybe i'll just build an adaptor for each system. hack a vga box for DC, make the ps2/ps1 rgb to arcade monitor cable(yikes!!!),and make the xbox one.
By the way the X-arcade gutted works wonderfully with consoles. I've been going a little crazy with capcom vs snk 2 after seeing the videos under the media section of shoryuken.com.
the only problems i have has so far with the x-arcade is only on playstation 2. Any game that requires analog controls (ie tenchu 2, etc) to play will not work. The game boots and gets to the selection screen but i cant press start for some reason. The x-arcade does have an emulated analog and tried switching to that but it didnt do anything. I had to unplug x-arcade and insert a real ps2 controller for it to start the game. This is only for the games i've tested and the only one i can remember testing is tenchu 2. I'm going to try other games as well.
Another problem i had was with a PS1 game on PS2 with the x-arcade. I tried MK trilogy and the controls were screwed up. It was unplayable. I only tried that game once. hopefully the ps1 will work.
However for dreamcast it works pretty well. I played Sanfran rush 2040 with the emulated analog function and it was damn cool(2 player split screen).
On a side note (i appologize for the long post) i went to an arcade that had 2 capcom vs snk 2 machines on 33 inch cabinets(along with doubles of every other fighting game in the same cabinets!!). It was awesome. Compared to the DC version through my naki VGA box and d9200 they looked identical. The only real difference i noticed was that the DC lacked a certain "sparkle" that the arcade version had. I'm assuming it's because im running in VGA mode and that arcade isn't. i must have looked like such a dumba$$. i was looking at all the arcade monitors up close to see the pixels and i was analyzing all the control panels and cabinets. the place used happs perfect 360s and convex buttons for every single game. They even advertised the perfect 360s with stickers on every cabinet. This includes a perfect 360 on the multiple games cabinets they had as well (didnt know you need a p360 for ghosts and goblins and trojan). Damn i'm a nerd. If you're in/near the philly area i suggest you check this arcade out if you like fighters(mvsc2,cvssnk2,tekken4,tekken tag, garou, guilty gearXX,etc etc etc)
