WG 25K7193: Black/White Vs. Blue/Brown
« on: July 30, 2007, 02:26:01 pm »
I have a WG 25K7193 monitor with black/white power input wires but the power supply has the usual brown/blue wires.

Can anyone tell me which should connect to which? There is a "B" where the black cable connects to the PCB and a "W" where the white connects, so I'm sure they're wired correctly.

It's been on the bench for a while and I didn't make a note at the time. I'm guessing brown goes to black, since that goes straight to the fuse on the PCB.

this chassis is 120v ac input(not 240v) so you should have a transformer to power the monitor, the transformer should be a 240 to 120 stepdown type.once you have deduced you have the correct voltage then you can connect the white to live(120v) and the black to neutral(0v).
if you connect this to 240v you will blow the monitor power supply section up

Yes, it's connected to the mains via a 120V-240V transformer and an isolation transformer.

Thanks for your help.
