WinVise Vic20 Emulator
« on: July 30, 2007, 10:06:59 am »
Hello,

 My first post here..

Anyway I am wondering If anyone has found a solution
for using The Vic 20 Emulator included with Winvice?

I can get it to launch from Mamewah send Rom works ok
However.... You have to reset by alt + R to load each Game.
I could deal with that if It wasn't for the Ugly box asking
for confirmation that I want to reset.

I have played with the setting and just for the like of me
cant think of a solution?

Any help or ideas would be appreciated!

Yes.. Same here I was just a kid when we got it
one of the first computers we had!

I still ever now and then like playing:
Raid on Fort Knox ;D

* Ah well back on track.

Vic20 will at least load through Mamewah
so I'll just move on to my
next big Headach:

M.E.S.S. and the Ti994a  :P
its going to be extreemly challenging!

Ok First Let me say if you plan on using Commodore 64
in addition to Vic20

Create 2 sepperate Emualtor folders
one for Vic20 on for C64

I set Mine up like this in the Emulators

Vic20/Games/Prg
Vic20/Games/t64
Vic20/Games/D64

( though I think vic20 only uses prg)

I do the same for C64 and
set up a diferent instance in Mamnewah
for each different program type.
As just renaming files wont work..
you will get crashes.

In Vic20 (Emulator) I set Video to Double size
I use 800x600 and the only way
to make it all look right in fullscreen
is change video standard to ntsc.
Should load all files fine.

Dont Set full screen untill everthing is working 100%
then just enable it in vise.ini
(in your vic20 only folder.)

See if you used vic20 and C64 from same folder
your vise.ini would constantly get
mucked up by the other emulator

Now in Mamewah I have
emulator executable as C:\vic20\xvic.exe

No default settings
No extra settings

Show dosbox to: false
send rom extension
send rom path

Rom extension: PRG
Rom Path: vic20\vic20\games\prg

Hope that helps!
