Asteroids Deluxe help...please!!
« on: August 14, 2007, 05:27:19 pm »
Just picked  this up today, and it has some issues.  The large asteroids do strange things when moving, the enemy spaceship has the line to the left of it instead of the through the middle...all of the 'available ships' indicating the number of lives left are stacked on top of eachother.   Also, sometimes you can see vectors flash periodically.  My question is, would this be a monitor problem, or the Asteroids Deluxe PCB itself?   I have included a rather large (sorry) file to download showing video of what I'm talking about.  Thanks ahead of time.

Hey, this is the Deluxe version, is has morphing asteroids....
"It's a feature not a bug" as one of Atari's presidents once used to say....

Just kidding of course. This is definitely no monitor issue.  The link that fever provided should help you a lot !
Start with running the self-test mode, my bet is on a bad RAM (just like my SW :D)

I love that little video, that sounds, the picture.......man Asteroids is so in the top of my list.... :D
