side art - just had to share
« on: July 19, 2007, 09:27:37 am »
I invited my cartoonist friends over to paint the side art on my cab.  I just told them I wanted space babes with ray guns, and we finally decided on doing a 'retro-pulp' style thing.

Just wanted to share the outcome. Warning, R-rated.

In the first pic, her gun looks like a merger of an NES zapper, and a duck from duck hunt. ;D
PS, you should probably go into a photo editor and blur the naughties in that pic.

The same person did both sides? I like the second pic. First...not so much.

two artist friends .. one side each.. and I agree with you, I don''t like the first as much it's more of a "mural" thing than "cabinet graphics". I LOVE the right side.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to paint over the first side, and do something else myself, but I'm veeeerrrrryyyy sloooooooowwww at arting .. so it will have to happen at some future date.

4th...

...First wouldn't be so bad aside from the strange decision to give her tits helmets.

I don't know... you have to protect the important parts... I say take the helmet off her head. I also think she looks way to muscular... on its own, I would say its good, but compared to the other side... well not so much. Instead of repainting that side, you could just kinda slide it against a wall
