Basic Mame questions

1: I am operating Win 98, which version of MAME should i download?
2:Where is the best place to find ROMS? Is there a place, or a way, that i can a large amount of ROMS at once (like a CD or a mass download?

You could try FastMAME too.  Works well for me.

Do you have a link to download older versions of FastMame? All I can find out there is the newest .67

I've been running regular mame .61 very happily and would just like to give it a try.. I know before when uhhhhhh65(? maybe 66) was current I was using fast and it made a world of difference on my system
