8 way 4 way art ideas
« on: July 17, 2007, 12:45:16 pm »
Hi all! I have been reading these forums for over a year now and finally decided to post! I am almost done with my cab. The players 1 and 2 joysticks can switch from 8-way to 4-way. In the pic you will see that I have them switchable by moving a lever coming out of the front of the CP. I put wood balls on the end of the handles and painted them red. I was wanting some ideas on how to distiguish 8-way (left) and 4-way (right) under the levers. I could go with arrows but I was thinking something more Arcadish example have pacman eating 8 dots going left and have pacman eating 4 dots facing right. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks!

Veinman

Maybe simple character pictures that imply the number of directions needed. So on the 8-way side you could have Ryu and on the 4-way you could put Pac-Man. To be even clearer you could put arrows behind them, kind of under-stated.
