Multi Jamma
« on: July 14, 2007, 02:05:24 pm »
When using a cabinet with the intent of including multi jamma capability, Do I need multiple sound boards or does each board us the same one?  I am unsure on this aspect for a multi jamma cab.  Any insight would be gladly accepted.

If the game comes with a sound board then it is needed for each PCB that is installed.

I've been trying to find the card for a while.  Seems like the guy who makes them either refuses to make more and won't sell the technology or has died.

To be fair, he is running an arcade out there, and he also has a good development deal that resulted in him making the brains of the Target el-cheapo arcade machines. It is understandable if he doesn't small-time any more.

Not his. He won't outsource because he is too much of a quality stickler.

Clay's MultiJamma kits come up relatively regularly (more regularly than I thought they would) ... only occasionally from Clay (for the reasons already mentioned).

There were two kits available here about a week ago and I bumped the thread because people always complain how they aren't available. They come up semi-regularly on RGVAC and somewhat less frequently on EBay.

It's like almost anything else in Coin-Op -- keep your eyes open and act immediately when you see it (e.g. don't post a "is this a good deal" thread).

I was mostly curious about Clays because it had more slots than I've usually seen. There are still some available from overseas and elsewhere....... but they only seem to have four slots and no real "support" for them form the makers.
I forget where the discussion was on some of those here on BYOAC.

I like Clays.... will have to keep an eye out for one.  ;)
