Tempest problems (not sure where to post)
« on: July 10, 2007, 02:37:41 am »
I wasn't sure where to post about this.  I can't seem to get tempest to run.  I am using the latest version of mame32 (116).  When I audit tempest it says some files aren't found.  Is anyone else having problems playing tempest in the latest mame version?

A quick check of MAWS shows changes in 115u1-

WIP -0.115u1: Mathis Rosenhauer moved Atari vector PROMs into separate regions. Added user2 rom (036174.01) and the user3 Mathbox PROMs (36175/76, 036177/78, 036179/80 - low/high nibbled). Changed region proms to user1.

Not sure of the solution, but you either need to CMP your roms, use an older version of mame (perhaps just for that one game), or obtain the new? roms.

Thanks for the response.  I'm not sure what you mean by CMP my roms though?  Also, I don't believe there are any new dumps of tempest.  I have looked everywhere and tried every dump I could find.  I really don't want to use an older version of mame either, I really like having the CPS3 emulation
