Gameroom decoration...
« on: July 08, 2007, 04:33:11 pm »
I had taken this shot of an item I won a couple of months ago that is meant to decorate my to-be Game-room because there was a thread somewhere about game-room decorations, but I can't find it anymore. Still wanted to share this: Strangely, my son totally accepted that these cars were not going to leave the package.....anytime :D

Those are very cool.

I have a full set of the Sega Hot Wheels from a few years back, but the classic Namco games are definitely cooler. I think my biggest problem with licensed Hot Wheels and Matchbox is that they just slap artwork on almost any car.  Shouldn't the Pole Position car be an F1 car? I also would have expected Ms Pac instead of Galaxian.

The Sega ones were fairly well done and featured many of their popular games at the time. They were:

Space Channel 5 (#110) - Fandango (HW original)
House of the Dead (#111) - Chrysler Phaeton
Shinobi (#112) - Lotus Esprit
Super Monkey Ball (#113) - GT Racer
Jet Set Radio Future (#114) - Custom Cougar

HERE is an auction with them. Here's the picture from the auction:
Brevity is not my strong suit.

I recognize those! I picked up a set of the Namco ones about two years ago during Christmas at Sears. I didn't know there were Sega ones, now I'm going to have to keep an eye out for them. Neat little cars.

I didn't know either, until I did one of my regular searches on e-bay :D
That's one of the great things about sites like e-bay, you sometimes find what you were not looking for ;)
