SNK King of Fighters series
« on: July 02, 2007, 10:26:12 am »
Hi guys been going through some old arcade games and seeing as when I grew up I was in the Capcom streetfighter camp I steered clear of the King of Fighters series.

I was wondering which ones were worthy of playing or are they all pretty much an update of the previous release. Iv had a quick blast on 1995 edition and it seems pretty good the control system takes a bit of getting used to. Its very different compared to the simple streetfighter controls.

Thanks for your help guys.

I think each game in the series is worth playing. I personally like 98,99, and 02. The reason to play some of the other years is that they would rotate different characters in and out of the series. Other then the cheap bosses I love the KOF series.  I spent a lot of time in between classes battling other players.

I think the characters were the main reason I chose streetfighter over King of Fighters that and the controls. I mainly choose The fatal Fury characters when I play KOF.

98 is widely regaurded as the "best" but i love em all.  Wish they'd have put some Samurai Shodown ppl inthere :p
