lookie what I got!

Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 in a DEDICATED MKII cab.
nothing extremely special, Ive just always wanted a dedicated MKII with Raiden on the side

Heres the ebay auction I forgot to bid on:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290126612910&sspagename=ADME:L:RTQ:US:1

It arrived yesterday, I didn't take any before pix of the inside or outside. Ive already replaced most of the buttons and cherry switches, there was absolutely nothing wrong with the ones in there but they were a lil dirty and I dont know how old they were... and I had spare new ones anyway. Changed the run button 2 orange for a couple reasons 1) didn't have any extra yellow buttons 2) I liked orange better 3) its mine, so I can do what I want :p

I will be converting this back to an MKII and either selling the UMK3 boards (version 1.1) or picking up a Dynamo to drop it into.

If you look at the photos from the auction you can see it had a MK3 CPO, I peeled that off to get to the original MKII CPO.  Once I get MKII boards I'll drop a dowel rod in there, plaster the hole smooth and order a new CPO from mamemarquees.  Side art is faded and it looks like dropping 185 on new side art from mamemarquees might be the thing to do, or I might just keep it the way it is, because its original.

here are some updated pix, from me 1/2 done cleaning it:

next step is taking the monitor glass off and removing the dragon logos and midway logos. The MK3 instruction card will stay until I can find an MKII card. I need to repair the damaged control box (cant tell its broke from the pix) then maybe snag some new T molding.

Always nice to get something you've wanted for a while... for me it's a Robotron someday. :)

I like the MK games too and that's definitely some cool side art on that one.  Congrats and good luck with the project!

MKII is, in my opinion, the pinnacle of the series. I absolutely loved the game and played it to death in both the arcades and on the SNES.

Nice score. I wouldn't mind having one myself.
