Question about Betson 27" monitors
« on: June 02, 2007, 06:15:25 pm »

I dunno if anybody knows the answer to this but any help would be appreciated.  I just recently ordered a 27" Betson digital multi sync monitor so I could get the sale price before it ended last month.  I just recieved the monitor and my packing invoice lists an imperial 27" Digital Golden T/Big Buck monitor Item # IMP 44-4070-IT.  I had wanted the imperial 27" digital multi sync raw thrl monitor item #IMP 44-4070-RT.  Does anybody know if this is the same monitor?  I looked at the specifications on the betson website and they look the same.  I haven't unpacked it yet incase I need to return it but I can't call and verify this until monday.  Any help appreciated...

It's my THEORY that the only difference is perhaps the input connector and perhaps the mounting brackets.  If I were you, I'd call them and see what they say.  If you do open it, perhaps you could help solve this mystery.

FWIW - I think that most here use the RT is because it was on sale...

Well, I couldn't wait for monday so I opened my monitor.......

KT-2914F

Either the Big Buck monitor is the same as the raw thrills monitor, or me and scurvy both got Big Buck monitors....

anyways, if I test it out before I mount it, do I need to discharge the monitor before installing it in the cab?

Nope. Just make sure you don't touch anything but the mounting frame or chassis frame.

#IMP 44-4070-RT on my box.  Got the same deal, but waiting for my slikstik cab to get here before I open the box.

Could be like 4 weeks.
