TI graphing Calculator interface
« on: June 01, 2007, 03:01:05 pm »
Does anyone know of a site that shows how to interface TI graphing calcs, such as the TI-89, to motors, sensors, etc through its USB port? I know a company called Norland makes such a circuit board, but for $50. I think I could do it for cheaper. Any links?

I saw something like that at a trek convention once...

It puts a lot of stress on the motors and is hard on the senses.

Why exactly do you want to use a TI 89 to control robotics? It would seem there are much better/less expensive solutions out there. Just curious.

Yeah, but he'd make more money teaching people how to suppress their gag reflexes.

I already have an 89, but this isn't really for robotics. I just want to make up something that I can control various things with. Using TI BASIC, it is possible, provided you have the proper interface.

If you are going to do this, at least get the pc interface kit so you can type out your progs on a regular pc. ;D

I already have it. Punching in any kind of text on that keyboard is a major PITA.
