Memorial Day 2007 - Remember . . .

Anyone wanting to make a political statement or argument about this should think twice - this isn't the day or the thread for it.

Very moving words from both your parents.  I especially like the idea of remembering the military wife, so often we only think of the obvious sacrifices and commitment it takes to be IN the military, the people at home who support the their friends and loved ones are worth remembering too.  While it's nice to have a 3 day weekend it is VERY important to remember that there wouldn't be nearly as many things to be happy about if it weren't for the people who stood up and sacrificed for our rights and freedoms.

Thank you to all the fallen heroes of our past, with out you we wouldn't be where we are today.

Happy memorials day...may all your hamburgers come out perfect and your beer be cold as the tundra :)
Going to Mcdonalds for a salad is like going to a crack house for vitamins.
