Some questions about a Sony PVM-2530
« on: June 04, 2007, 03:57:45 pm »
I picked up a Sony PVM-2530 at a local Electronics shop for $250. It has a great picture. Maybe the best i have ever seen. S-video on this monitor is a lot better than any TV I ever saw for color convergence.  After a lot of fiddling I got GB hooked up and was stunned at true RGB on MAME. I used advanced MAME. Questions:
1. Is this only a standard arcade monitor only.
2. If you input 15.75 to a scan converter would this result in better image quality due to less conversion need to output to a TV or RGB monitor.
3. What is the shuttered horizontal lines I see In some games that are only noticible with vertical scrolling?
4. Does anyone have detailed settings for this monitor for advanced MAME to use?
5. Would I benefit from getting an arcadevga card for this monitor?
