am i damaging my monitor?
« on: May 26, 2007, 12:12:16 am »
couple of things

when i turn the power to my cab on the monitor, marquee light etc come on and then i turn my pc on after that. will this damage my arcade monitor? im using arcadevga to send the correct frequency but of course it's not active in the short time the pc is off and the arcade monitor is on.

does using a degaussing tool damage your monitor? for example could i degauss my monitor every day with no ill effects?

thank you

powering a monitor with no signal won't damage it.

Neither will degaussing if you do it right.
